Moto Guzzi California T3 and California II: history and buyer’s guide
The Guzzi cruiser with windscreen, footboards and panniers.
History
The California name goes back to the bike Guzzi developed with the Los Angeles Police Department in the early seventies. From 1975 Guzzi built the 850 T3 California: a T3 with a large windscreen, footboards, dual seat and panniers, plus the T3’s linked brakes.
In 1981 the California II arrived with the 1000 cc engine, a new tank and a wider seat. It stayed in production until 1987 and laid the foundation for the later California models.
